Offers and discounts

Create percent or flat offers with conditions, and see how the till applies one offer per order.

Offers let you run promotions without cashiers doing maths at the counter. They are available on the Starter plan and above.

Create an offer

Open Settings › Discounts and add an offer. Every offer is an order-level discount, either:

  • Percent, for example 10% off
  • Flat, for example ₹100 off

You can give it a start and end time so it switches itself on and off.

Conditions

An offer can be limited by any combination of:

  • A minimum order amount
  • Days of the week and a time window, including windows that run past midnight
  • Specific outlets only
  • New customers or repeat customers, with a minimum number of earlier orders
  • Items together: the customer orders a particular set of items and gets a flat or percent discount
  • Buy X get Y: buy a number of items from one set and get some items from another set, or the same set, at a percentage off. The cheapest qualifying units are discounted first.

How offers are applied

On an order, the Offers panel lists every active offer and whether it qualifies right now. If an offer does not qualify, it says why. For combo-style offers it shows Almost there: the exact items still needed, with one-tap buttons to add them. For buy X get Y offers, the reward item lines show a gift badge.

Two rules always hold:

  • One offer per order. Applying a new offer replaces the one already applied, and the till tells you which was replaced.
  • Never more than the items' value. An offer is capped at the order's item subtotal and at the remaining balance, so a discount can never exceed what was ordered.

If you change the items after applying an offer, the till re-checks it and adjusts or removes it if the order no longer qualifies.

Daily suggestion

The offers module shows a daily tip built from the outlet's last 28 days of orders, such as a quiet weekday or a slow weekend. It always has a suggestion, rotates one per day, skips offers you have already created, and prefills the form so you can adjust and save. For ideas, read offers for slow hours.

Offers versus settlement

An offer is a rule you publish. Settlement is a one-off agreement to accept less on a single order. They are recorded separately. See Payments and settlements.
