Repeat customers and reordering

Recognise returning customers by phone number and rebuild their usual order in a few taps.

Regular customers often want the same thing every time. Snapitto helps you recognise them and rebuild their order quickly, without leaving the till.

Look up a customer

  1. Start a New order and choose the order type.
  2. In the customer section, enter the customer's phone number.
  3. If the number has ordered before, you will see the customer's details and their last two orders. If it is new, carry on and the customer record is created when you confirm the order.

A blank phone number is fine. The order is then a walk-in with no profile.

Repeat a previous order

  1. Under the customer's recent orders, choose repeat whole order to add every line to your draft, or choose a single item to repeat just that one.
  2. Check the draft. Prices are taken from your current menu, not from the old order, so they will be right even if you have changed a price.
  3. Adjust quantities or remove anything unavailable today.
  4. Press Confirm order.

If an item is no longer available, or is out of stock, it cannot be added.

Reorder from a completed order

Open any completed order and choose Reorder. This creates a new draft with the same items at today's prices. It is useful when a customer calls back and says "same as yesterday".

Keep details accurate

Each order holds its own copy of the customer's name, phone and address as they were when the order was placed. If a customer later corrects their details, old orders keep the original details, so history does not change.

See repeat activity

The orders list shows how many of today's orders were repeat orders. Some offers can also be aimed at new or repeat customers. See Offers and discounts.

A quick routine for the counter

  1. Ask for the phone number up front.
  2. Look at the last two orders.
  3. Ask "the usual?" and repeat.
  4. Confirm.
Only ask for details you need. A phone number is enough to recognise a returning customer.
